Showtime has released another trailer for the upcoming season four of their CIA drama series, Homeland.
The minute and twenty seconds long trailer, set to the song Hole In The Middle by Emily Jane White does little to reveal any actual plot details, but entices us enough with the little it does show.
At the end of season three following the death of what some might call the most interesting character of the show – Nicholas Brody – the show resolved most of its existing storylines. Instead of a cliffhanger, what we got was a a relatively satisfying ending to most of our favourite characters.
So, now the board is wide open for all of them – and the show in a sense – to start afresh and tackle on new problems. From the looks of the two trailers we've yet received, Carrie seems to be finally doing what she does best – fieldwork. Stationed in what is described as one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East. The trailer also gives us hints at the fate of Carrie's newborn, and fellow agent – Peter Quinn.

Joining the cast are also a slew of new faces, including Carey Stoll (House of Cards, The Strain), Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi) and Nimrat Kaur (The Lunchbox) among others. With the addition of so many cast members, naturally there are some older ones that won't be making an appearance as well. Earlier in the year it was revealed that with the demise of Brody, his family members will also not be regular cast members of the show anymore. It is yet now known if any of them will appear in a guest role or not.
Homeland is set to return this fall on Sunday, October 5th, 2014 at 9pm on Showtime with a special two hour long premiere.
