DC/WB seems to be on a roll lately, at least as far as TV shows are concerned. It almost seems as if they're announcing a new show every week. And now, after the confirmation of Supergirl a few weeks back, and Titans also being confirmed in development, we have another rumour. The latest rumour comes from Bleeding Cool, and they are reporting that a new show, titled "Krypton" is in development.
Gotham was one of the biggest new shows to hit our television screens this season, not only did it draw in a large audience, but it also gained favourable reviews from the critics. So, it seems DC is looking to replicate that success using the same formula, but this time applying it to Superman's home world of Krypton. The project reportedly has David S. Goyer attached to it as the writer, who of course is no stranger to Superman, having been a writer for Man of Steel (2013).
The show will reportedly take place on the planet of Krypton, revolving around the House of El, and include a hint of Brainiac as well. We might even get to see some of the house politics that we saw a glimpse of in Man of Steel.
What do you think of this? Does the show have chance of succeeding, or is it bound to fail?
