Ubisoft just released a new Assassin's Creed game for iOS devices. Assassin's Creed Identity appeared on the Australian and NZ App Stores a few hours back, and is available to download for free.
The game is the most complete version of Assassin's Creed to become available on mobile devices. It takes place in the familiar Italian Renaissance period, during the sixteenth century. The release appears to be a soft-launch of sorts, and it's rumoured for a full launch in 2015.
Players can take on the role of one of four available assassins, and embark on their own journey in the streets of Italy. Each of the four assassins have their own particular set of skills:

Players can take on the role of one of four available assassins, and embark on their own journey in the streets of Italy. Each of the four assassins have their own particular set of skills:
- The Berserker relies on his brute strength
- The Shadowblade has the ability to throw knives
- The Trickster can use disguise and confusion to one-up his enemies
- The Thief is said to be a master pickpocket.
All the familiar features of the Assassin's Creed series make a return with parkour, a full combat-system, pickpocketing, and assassinating enemies; all making an appearance.
Microtransactions also seem to be a part of the game, however, currently it seems they're restricted to cosmetic items. Other details are scant at the moment, but we'll be sure to post them as and when they surface.
