Morena Baccarin has joined the upcoming Deadpool movie as its female lead. She joins Ryan Reynolds who is playing the titular hero in the film.
Details about the character are scarce, however, THR did reveal that "the character grapples with falling for a man with a hideously scarred face."
Baccarin is best known for her role in Homeland, where he played Nicholas' Brody's wife. She is also known for her roles in Firefly and V. Interestingly, she is also the current love interest of James Gordon in Fox's Gotham, and also appears as the voice of Gideon in CW's The Flash.
Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds in the title role and is set to release on February 12, 2016.
