Will Jason Bourne be rebourne? If a report from Deadline is to be believed, both Matt Damon, and director Paul Greengrass are set to return for a planned Bourne sequel.
A similar rumour first came to surface a few months back, when Latino Review reported a similar story. However, it was squashed soon after Greengrass denied any involvement in the sequel. This time though, it seems to be a done deal, as Damon and Greengrass are reportedly in the final process of cutting their deals. Damon of course had stated previously, that he'd never return to the franchise without director Greengrass' involvement, who worked with Damon on the second and third movies of the series. Greengrass in turn had said that he didn't see where they could go with the character, after Ultimatum's events. That obviously seems to have changed.

The Bourne Crossover?
Universal also had a sequel to Jeremy Renner's Bourne Legacy planned for a supposed July 16, 2016 release. However, now it seems they're pushing for Damon's movie to take that date, hence pushing the sequel to Legacy even further. If both the movies were to happen, this would give Universal a shared Bourne universe to play in. This would mean, a teamup movie featuring both the characters wouldn't be completely out of the question.
