Blair Underwood (L.A. Law) has joined the cast of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD as the estranged ex-husband of Agent Melinda May. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the actor has started filming for the show.
It's currently unknown of what capacity his role will be, or how many episodes he will appear in. However, it does seem that Agent May may have a more prominent presence in the latter half of the season. Very few details from Agent May's life have been revealed on the show so far. Hence, this plot arc might finally get the show to delve more into her past and explore her background.
