Tom Hardy has dropped out of DC/WB's upcoming movie star-studded supervillain team-up movie, Suicide Squad.
Hardy apparently is having scheduling issues with his movie, The Revenant, which is going over schedule. Due to this, Hardy had to drop out of DC's Suicide Squad. He was to portray Rick Flagg, the leader of Suicide Squad in the movie. Of course, he previously played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises as well.
WB is already looking for a replacement for Hardy in Nightcrawler's Jake Gyllenhaal. If Gyllenhaal joins the project, it will be his first superhero (or supervillain) movie. He will join Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevigne.
Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad stars Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. It hits the theatres on August 5, 2016.
