It's been no secret that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been in talks with Warner Bros. for a role in their DC cinematic universe. We even got a less than subtle hint from him last month with the phrase "say the word", along with him later posting an image on his twitter featuring Shazam and Black Adam.
Now he has finally confirmed that he will be indeed star in "Shazam". However, he was also quick to say that he hasn't decided which role he would be playing, Shazam or Black Adam in the movie. Although, he did admit his love for anti-heroes and confessed Black Adam is one of his favourite characters.
Appearing in Mexico City to promote "Hercules", talking to The Associated Press, Johnson assured he will make sure comic book fans are not disappointed. "I am putting my heart and soul and my bones into this role," he said.
It is currently unknown whether he will appear in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" or "Justice League" movies, or appear directly in his own solo adventure.
Whatever it is, we're sure to know full details on it soon enough, including the official name of the movie, as Dan Fellman, the studio's president of domestic distribution hinted earlier this month. He confirmed we should be getting news about Warner Bros' plans for DCCU very soon, including the titles.
