Dean Cain and Helen Slater have joined the cast of upcoming CBS series, Supergirl. Helen Slater played the original Supergirl in the Supergirl movie, and of course Dean Cain was Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
Their roles are currently a secret, and no further information has been revealed regarding their characters.
This is the second DC show to feature actors who were in a similar show previously. CW's The Flash also cast the 90s Flash, John Wesley Shipp as well as Amanda Pays and Mark Hamill, all of whom appeared in the 90s show.
Helen Slater played the role of Supergirl in the 1984 movie of the same name, and also appeared in Smallville as Superman's mother, Lara. Dean Cain played the role of Clark Kent/Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and also appeared in Smallville as Dr. Curtis Knox.
Could Dean Cain once again don the cape and appear as Superman in the show? Or will he be playing a new character? Make your thoughts heard in the comments below
